Have purchased a Compaq Presario notebook with Windows XP
al ready installed and received no installation disk with
it. Am now finding that there's no MS Paint program
installed. Have searched all over the MS website but can
find no answer. Help with this problem would be a great
Holiday gift. Thanks!

Try this:
Go to the Control Panel.
Find "Add/Remove Programs" and double click on it.
Down the left side of this window, click on "Add/Remove Windows
Components".
From this window, highlight and check the box next to "Accesories and
Utilities" (if it is not already checked).
While "Accesories and Utilities" is highlighted, click the DETAILS
box.
From this new window, scroll down until you see PAINT.
Put a checkmark next to it.
Click OK..then OK again, and then NEXT.
See if this gets you back the Paint program.

Thanks! It worked!
