Program does not show a toolbar. Need to copy, paste and "help" says to use
toolbar for this. I have no toolbar. Advice? Thanks

Menu bar is what has File, Edit, View, Image, Colors and Help.

I assume that was how you got to Help. Although you could have hit the F1
key to open Help.

Click on Edit. Edit has Undo, Repeat, Cut, Copy, Paste, Clear Selection,
Select All, Copy To and Paste From.

You can also use keyboard shortcuts.

Ctrl key + Z to Undo.

Ctrl key + Y to Repeat.

Ctrl key + C key to Copy.

Ctrl key + V key to Paste.

Del key to Clear Selection.

Ctrl key + A key to Select All.

There is no paste in Paint's toolbars. At least not in the XP version.
Don't recall it being in previous versions either. See Wes' reply for
alternative paste commands.

There is a "Paste" and a "Paste from" in my XP version of Paint.

I see that in the Edit menu too, Bill.
Just played with Paint a bit. If you use one of the selection icons on the
toolbar (dotted rectangle and dotted star), two new icons appear that
control how the Paste functions will be handled. In other words...

The special Paste icons are not seen until a selection icon is clicked.
