HI!!

I have a PC with windows 2000 prof. I turn on my computer
and when I type my user and password a message appears
on the screen saying that the paging file (virtual
memory) is too small. I want to increase this value but
when I press the OK Button of this message the screen to
type the user and password ´appears again.
When i try to access in safe mode it´s the same.

Can someone help me!!??

Thank you.

It would be helpful to know if you have ever been able to start this
thing up? I would simpley put in a stick of RAM or check your connection
(Power OFF/unpluged). Maybe a ghost pulled it out on Halloween?
*W2K Pro needs a Pentium 133 Microprocessor,64Mb RAM, 650 Mb free (2G
recommended) HD. Come back when you're sure you have enough resources
and it's all hooked up rock solid.

It sounds like your drive letters have somehow changed. Take a look at
Knowledge Base article 249321: "Unable to Log on if the Boot Partition Drive
Letter Has Changed" http://support.microsoft.com/?id=249321. The article
contains some steps that can resolve the problem.

I had the same problem when I ghosted a small hard drive
to a larger one, and made the large hard drive the boot
drive.

Here's the easy way to fix it: Boot your system with a
Windows 98 floppy, and type fdisk /MBR at the A: prompt.
This will rebuild your master boot record.

Remove the floppy, and you should be able to boot normally.
