I am currently running Windows 98 with IE 6 as my browser.
When I open some sites, the thumbnails will remain blank
with a white box containing an "X". I've tried clearing my
temp. internet files to no avail. My firewall is set to
med/low for internet and local intranet. Please advise.

go to tools menu at top, then internet options. choose
the advanced tabs, and ceck to see if the show images box
is ticked.
this should solve ur problem

Had a similar problem with XP. I found the problem was
with Norton Internet Security - AD BLOCKER. I turned it
off and everything works fine. Hope this is of help.
