pages don't show

I have a little problem with IE 6.02: Some pages just don't show. For example
I can go to the Hotmail page and type in my address and password. When I hit
enter, the page disappears, a blue bar shows at the bottom, but that's it.
the page is completely white, no 404s or any other message.
I can use "back" but I don't seem to be able to log in. I have the same
problem with some other sites.
The only thing that they could have in common is that they are secure sites
(with the lock icon at the bottom). I have tried to lower security and
privacy from the default values, but that didn't help. Any ideas?

hotmail probably needs activex or "scripts", but i have a feeling you haven't changed those
settings since hotmail was accessible...
