Pages distorted - parts missing (buttons, links, images)

Hi, I need help.
I have a problem with IE 6.0. Since I updated it some time ago with all
patches, my pages display partially: graphics are missing - it does not even
display the red Xs, there are no buttons so for example I try to search on a
page to buy a book and type in the author, but the "go" control is not
displayed, and when I open the same page in my SBC yahoo browser, I see it
all without problems. Also at work I can see it all but not at home.
Sometimes up to 25% of the contents is missing. I went through all settings,
and cannot find anything wrong. Please help. I really loved to use the IE,
but now it is really useless for me. Thank you.
 
Hi,
It sounds like small GIFs (buttons) are a large part of the problem.

If you've installed then uninstalled GetRight, check for these registry keys
from regedit.
If either of these registry keys exists, export it, as a backup, then delete
it.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\PROTOCOLS\Name-Space Handler\ftp
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\PROTOCOLS\Name-Space Handler\http

If you're not familiar/comfortable with regedit, see if you can find help,
or post followup questions to this topic.

Instead of reinstalling IE, you might try IEFix from
