Anyone know how to prevent these Pagemaker 7.0 errors? Thanks in advance.

Claude

On Windows 2000 Prof machine (this stops the program from starting):

Plug-in cannot be completed.
Some system operation failed.

On Windows 98SE machine (canceling error allows program to start):

Plug-in cannot be completed.
Some system operation failed.

[6992]

Are the plug-ins in the correct directory? Have you applied all the program
patches and updates?

Plug-ins are not essential to program operation, but they allow little
tricks to be done that are not normally included in the main program. They
are actually a macro language. You can edit them in a text editor if you
know the macro language. You can also make you own plug-ins the same way.
There are also a few floating around the net as well. I'm not sure if PM7 is
still being supported by Adobe, but there web site may be a good place to
start looking. Perhaps in the archive they have a corrected/updated version
of the failing plug-ins.
