What is "Pagefile system file", it showed up what seems like out of nowhere
and is using up 1.5 gb?

11/07? You can reasonably delete this file, if you so choose.
The Pagefile system file (pagefile.sys), is used by Windows as "virtual
memory". When your computer is using all the available physical RAM, memory
is swapped over to the pagefile to allow the actual RAM to be used for
whatever application is taking priority. If it's taking up too much space
on your system drive (the drive that the Windows operating system is stored
on), you can move it another drive partition (if you have more than one) to
save space. Here's a Knowledge Base article on how to go about doing that.
