Is there any problems by letting windows handle the size
of the pagefile?
Is it better to let windows handle the pagefile instead of
setting the values your self?

.

it doesn't matter if you have 2 gigs of ram, it is
definately better to let xp manage your pagfefile, but for
a very small group of people

the only people that need to manage the pagefile themselfs
are those people that get the warning that xp is low on
virtual memory, and is expanding the pagefile.

these people should rease the intitial minimum, and leave
expansion enabled.

also, those people that have a hardrive so full, that xp
is constantly deminishing the default initial minium

these people should lower the initial minimum to the value
that xp reduces the size of it.

there is no other user that needs to alter the default
settings of the pagefile.

the only real thing the vast majority of users should do,
is probably defrag the thing...otherwise, dissregard any
advice that recomends lowering the initial minimum, or any
advice that recomends creating a static pagefile.

anyone that gives you this kind of information has an
incomlplete knowledge of what the pagefile is, and they
are giving you harmfull advice
