Hello all I'm working on a DVR solution.

My configuration is Configured as a 2GB HDD -EWF (disk) runtime without any
applications installed is about 650MB. I got 512MB installed on this unit and
i'm debating if i should add a pagefile to it.

Is it safe to run XPE without a pagefile?

Dear Manny,

Enable page file or not depends on your system behavior.

For DVR solution, your system may use a lot of memory when it executes.

Therefore, running your system with page file support is better.

However, I suggest that you should do a complete test to check the
affect without/with pagefile.

Manny,

Pagefile support is safe as is on XPe as well as on XP Pro.

However, keep in mind that you don't want to have pagefile located on the EWF protected partition.

KM,

What is the right way of moving the Page

What is the best way to move the PageFile to a different partition?

Thank you in advance,
Manny
