I got a nvida riva tnt 2 pro and every time i run videos
or games win xp crashes and i get told there is a
page_fault_in_unpaged_area and sometimes it includes one
of these files: nv4_disp.dll or nv4_mini.sys. I upgraded
to the lastest detornater drivers(ver. 4.5.2.3)

Hey Mike,

1. You could try lowering the hardware acceleration setting in control
panel/display/settings/advanced/troubleshooting and turning off right
combining.

2. Run directx diagnostic

start/run
dxdiag

Go to the display tab, and you can have a play with the settings in there.

3. Go into the bios and disable side band addressing and fast writes, and
also try setting the agp to x2 instead of x4 if these are available.

4. Roll back to the drivers which came with xp. This system has a Geforce2
GTS and works fine with the xp drivers.

5. Are your current drivers signed ?

Check in device manager

or
start/run
sigverif

6. Pay close attention when the system starts. At the end of the second
black and white bios initialization screen is the irq allocation table. See
if anything has the same irq as the video card, if so, move it to a
different slot.

Good Luck

I hate video driver Problems !!! :-)
