Hi

I am getting a "page_fault_in_nonpaged_area" with "STOP: 0x00000050 (0x80A96008, 0x00000000, 0x8058A518, 0x00000000) error on startup . The microsoft error page says that I should restart from safe mode and unistall whatever the problem is. Only thing is that I am getting this error even when trying to go through safe mode. I tried pressing F8 and going through all of those options

The problem started after I installed a new driver for my radeon 9700 pro in a failed attempt to fix it. I later found out that that driver required me to install SP1 which I did not have installed on my system. Also, I have red hat linux installed on my system and it also is giving me a display error when trying to go into a graphical login. Thus, I think that the problem most likely is with the display driver

I recently bought a new video card and it too is giving me the blue screen with the error message stated before. So, since I can't get in through safe mode, regular startup, etc., how do I go about fixing this problem without doing a complete reinstall of windows? Also, what could be the problem that is causing this error

Thanks a lot.

Linux isnt windows xp,it suppose to be run on a seperate hd if at all
possible,if a driver is at fault you can boot to xp cd,repair, youd want to
type:DEL (for deleting files,or DISABLE for disabling a service or driver).
For all input type:HELP or go to search at microsoft,type:307654
Good-luck!!

Hey

Thanks a lot for the tip. Do you by any chance know what file I would have to delete to get the display driver deleted? After deleting it, would I then be able to start up windows normally and go ahead with the installation of my new video card's drivers

Thanks a lot
