Can you get rid of the greyed out 'Page1' when in page break preview.

you either use the 'normal' view or the pagebreak view WITH the page

Not that I know of.
However, in MacXL 2004 which comes out later this spring, there's a page
layout mode where everything is both visible and editable as it will
print (e.g., headers & footers, margins, page orientation, column width
and row height in inches/cm, etc), with no "watermarks" like page break
preview has.
Perhaps this will make it into the next version of WinXL.
