Howdy,

I have a 2 column report to which I have added a report
footer. Is there a way to format the footer portion only to
be single column? Thanks for any help.

BTW, I'm running Access 97.

Create a top level group (View menu - Sorting and Grouping)
using a constant expression such as =1. Then use that
group's footer section instead of the report footer

I don't think I asked my question clearly enough. The
information I want as a single column is just an appendix
to the report that I want to be able to print full-page
width, The data for this comes from the report itself, not
a table or query.

When I tried your suggestion, I had each record for the
report printed in the first column with the appendix
printed in the second column on each page. I may have done
something wrong though.

I hope I'm explaining this coherently.

I do not understand what you mean by "The data for this
comes from the report itself"??

The only parts of a multi-column report that can be printed
full page width is the report header and footer. (The Page
header/footer can do it too, but that's not relevant to this
situation.)

To use the full page width in these sections, go to the
Columns tab in the File - Page Setup menu. Uncheck the box
for Same as Detail and specify the column width yourself.
With that done, you can make the report design space as wide
as the page so you can utilize all the available width in
the report /header/footer sections.

Oops. That fixed it. I had tried changing the page layout
for that section before but it hadn't worked (Same as
detail was unchecked), but I must've done something wrong.
Thanks for the help.
