page refresh

Why do web pages have to be refreshed every time I go to one? Example: I do
a lot of buying on eBay and in the past, every page was always updated. Now,
I have to refresh every page. This started when I had a new DSL modem
installed by SBC. Could the new modem be causing this problem or just a
coincidence? I can't find anything to set up an automatic refresh if there
is such a thing. I am using Windows XP 2 and Yahoo browser with Internet
Explorer.
Thanks for your help.

Hi,
In Internet Options> General> Temporary Internet Files> Settings, check
"Check for newer versions..." "Every visit to the page."

Also, clear the IE cache. IE> Tools> Internet Options> General> Delete files
(and delete offline content when that dialog pops up) It's often recommended
that the TIF folder be kept at about 50-60 MB (Settings.) A larger cache
won't necessarily speed up browsing, especially with broadband.

Hope this helps,
Don
