When using internet explorer 6, if i don't put http:// in the web address,
e.g., if i simply put in espn.go.com or microsoft.com , my browser goes to a
porn site.

I have virus and spyware protection, yet this still happens. It doesn't
happen on foxfire or netscape, but only on IE.

Can someone help me?

You may have "spyware protection", but nevertheless you have malware on
your system that needs to be removed. Here are general malware removal
steps. Do everything with updated tools in Safe Mode:

Please download, install and update the following software...

Ad-aware SE v1.06

SpyBot Search and Destroy v1.4

After the software is updated, I suggest scanning the system in Safe Mode.

I also suggest downloading, installing and updating BHODemon for any Browser Helper Objects
that may be on the PC.
