How do you make page numbers follow a sequence across several tabs in a
spreadsheet with Excel 2003?

I'm pdf-ing an excell spreadsheet with mutliple tabs, but the document
starts renumbering on each tab. I used to have continuing page numbers in the
previous version of Excel, but can't figure it out since we migrated to Excel
2003.

Thanks for your tips.

Same question as in the "sequential numbering" post (27 july 2004)
but none of the solutions proposed then seem to work for me:
- can't just group the sheets and print them in 2003, that's the whole
point. It re-numbers each tab.
- Dave's code is nice, but doesn't work for tabs that are several pages
long, as in my case.
- Still working on the AddIn solution... doesn't solve the problem yet.

I'm really surprise it's so complicates. There must be a straightforward
solution as in the previous versions! Do you know it?

What are you using to "pdf" the grouped sheets?

Adobe Acrobat saves each sheet as a separate file.

I have had success with the free file downloads and instructions for use here
at Dale Nurden's site.

http://www.rcis.co.za/dale/info/pdfguide.htm

Saves first to single *.ps file which is then converted to *.pdf

Returns one PDF file from multiple sheets.

If I group several worksheets in Excel 2003 the page numbers are sequential
across all sheets.
