There are several posts re page numbering in powerpoint but I can't get any of the solutions to work. Basically I have a presentation and I need the page numbering to start at number one on slide number 4. I have tried entering a conditional field but ctrl+F9 just closes the slide down and pasting the condition in just makes it appear on the slides! can anyone give me an idiots guide???

You can start page 1 numbering at a number higher than one, but you can't
set higher slide numbers to start at one.

Basically, you'll have to insert the numbers manually on each slide.

Maybe you should consider linking slides 4-on. Use TAJ's method, described
at http://www.powerpointbackgrounds.com/powerpointlinking.htm Then you could
set the numbering for the 4-on section to start at 1.

can send you a .com
PPA tonight.

I am not a fan of solving problems off the NG, but this PPA is almost
identical to the 'page x of yy' PPA I have made available in the FAQ.
