page numbering--suppressing in Word

Okay, I frequently have 50-100 page documents, with
bibliographies included. How do I stop the page numbering
after the document itself is done, and eliminate page
numbering in the bibliography? I've tried inserting a
section, and it doesn't seem to work. I'm a novice at
this--I've used WordPerfect for a lot of years, and frankly
find Word to be way too cumbersome (I had a macro in WP to
stop page numbering, and it took two seconds!), but mine is
not to question why, yadda, yadda, yadda....

Please answer.

Jeannine,
You will be more likely to get a good answer if you will post this in one of
the Word newsgroups. This newsgroupe is for the database product Microsoft
Access.
