Can I restart the page numbering in PowerPoint 2007?

I have several presentations combined and need to have
each section restart the page numbering system.
Linking is not an option. I can do it manually "ugh",
however, there are over 400 charts in the presentation.

Thanks

No, unfortunately PowerPoint does not work like Word, where you can have
separately numbered section breaks. But why do you need the page numbers at
all? Your viewers will not pay attention to them during a live presentation.
And for printing you can combine separate documents.

In addition to what Ute has told you. If you want to delete auto page
numbering in PowerPoint and manually inert whatever page number you want on
each slide then you can do it that way. Very labour intensive if you have
large presentations.
