Word2000 Windows 98SE

I would like to insert a word next to the page number, in the same manner,
without upsetting the layout of each page.

how do you do it?

Thanks

Jorge

View | Header and Footer. Type whatever text you want with the page number,
then press the Insert Page Number button on the Header and Footer toolbar to
get a { PAGE } field. Don't mess around with Insert | Page Numbers. If
you've already used it, see
http://home.zebra.net/~sbarnhill/WanderingFrame.htm for instructions on
safely removing the framed page number.

I have Word 2000 and Windows 98. I tried to create want I
think you are looking for.

If you are inserting a page number by clicking on Insert
then Page Number, the page number itself is in a frame.
You could insert a text box next to it and type the word
you wish. But if you are clicking on View, Header and
Footer, just type the page number and type the text. If
the text is only going to be on one page, and not the
following pages, you have to break that link by clicking
off same as previous. Try IT! And you may also have to use
a section break Next Page. Good Luck.
