"page not available"

I get a 'good' connection but receive the error message "page not available"
on all websites. Occasionally, I am able to load webpages but I can only
have one browser open at a time. If I try to open another browser, the page
loads in the current browser window. But again, I can successfully navigate
only occasionally.

The only things I have done prior to this problem is that I uninstalled
Norton Anti-Virus and did a disk cleanup and defrag.

I am suspecting an IE problem but am not sure. Ideas? Help?

Thanks!

Thank you for your time.

I did a system restore and unintalled Norton and AVG. At that point I could
navigate if only temporarily (as before.) I downloaded AVG and updated the
definintions and scanned the computer and found no infected files. Then, I
updated my definitions for my spyware software and to my surprise there were
substantial updates available. I performed a system scan and indeed found
four problems and corrected them.

For the second day now, I am having no problems navigating so, problem solved
(?) I sure hope so.

Thanks again for your help. I appreciate it.
