page name in toolbar

Hi I rcently bought a new laptop, and when I open a page in Internet
Explrer the only description of the page in the toolbar is a single
letter, not the page name etc. I the installed Opera, and this shows up
fine. A I dong something simple wrong? Help please. Thankyou
 
When trying this should I reboot inbetween un and re installing?

Hi,
Probably. A restart can't possibly hurt and is generally a good idea. Some
uninstalls require it.
