i want to get rid of the spaces between the detail and the page footer of
every page that is printed in my report. i have 3 groupings (headers only)
and 1 of the group is kept together on 1 page. that is how the spaces are
generated.

how can i set the page footer to start at the end of the detail section
instead of it placed at the bottom?

pls help... thanks.

You cannot. A page footer goes where you would expect it to: at the footer
of the page.

If you want a summary at the end of each section of your report, then create
a Group Footer (Sorting and Grouping dialog, on the View menu).

*sigh* im actually making a transcipt of records report that looks like this:

the "xxxx over xxxx" thing should be right after the detail so as not to
allow them to alter and add "other grades" after the detail of every page.
still the signatory exists as a page footer. i cant think of ways on how to
group them coz there are many possible results.

a student may only have schooled for 1 sem... etc.

pls sir allen, i could use your suggestion. i would be grateful.

I have no other suggestion, than to use the appropriate group footer where
you want this, such as a group footer on SY or Sem.

i wish i could find the appropriate grouping but in my case, it seems that SY
and Sem varies differently on certain situations. there might be cases that
a student only took 2 subjects on certain Sem/SY specifically summer classes.
or on full subject load, a student might enroll 8-12+ subjects which makes
SY and Sem either longer or shorter. so the TOR can range from a 1 page only
up to a 3 or 4 pages. the "xxxxxx over xxxxx" is used as a page footer
that tells the reader of the TOR that there is a continuation on the another
page. it should be directly written next to the last record of every page
(except the last page, which is "transcript closed") and not on the bottom so
as not to allow someone to alter it and add more subjects with grades, if
left with spaces (using the current page footer).

im positive, there should be something there that i dont know. i dont want
to give up. not now. pls help.
