I understand that one way to solve the low virtual memory warning is to
install a page filing system. The minimum needs to be set to 40MB but what
is the max I can set it to? What is the Ideal or proper way to set up a page
filing system?

IIRC, the minimum can be set to 2Mb (although it will be no less than 16Mb anyway).
The maximum size you may want to set to 1.5 of your RAM size for better system performance. (the max size certainly cannot be more
than 4Gb)
