page fault-password?

I keep getting a page fault error message whenever I try to access the
password section of several websites I belong to. The browser has to shut
down.

Didn't have this problem till the last few days. Haven't changed anything I
can think of during that time, so I'm mystified. And I can't find any way to
get MS to let me reinstall the basic IE6 files from scratch, because it
detects the files on my hard drive.

Any suggestions?

Ted,
Are these "password sections" = "https" URL's?
