Is there a way to make the Page Down key actually make the document go down
to the top of the next page rather than to go down a screen? I am aware
that the Ctrl-PgDn key-stroke is designed to do that. However, at least on
my machine, if I have used the search (or search and replace) feature,
pressing Ctrl-PgDn brings up the next occurance of the item previously
searched for.

Both of these inabilities to go down to the top of the next page are major
iritations for me. Could somebody help on each of these? Thank you much.

Bob, I'll tackle part of your question. Specifically: "if I have used the
search (or search and replace) feature, pressing Ctrl-PgDn brings up the
next occurance of the item previously searched for."

If the two buttons at the bottom of the vertical scroll bar (the ones with
double up and down arrows) are blue, take that as your visual cue that the
behavior you describe is turned on. To restore the default behavior, click
the Select Browse Object button (it's the one with the circle on it, between
the two double-arrow buttons) and select Browse by Page from the menu.

Click on Tools| Customize, then click Keyboard. You can set keys to match
whatever commands you want. A recent post just suggested using the commands
GoToNextPage and GoToPreviousPage, which are probably found under Edit, and
which may solve your first problem. You can map those commands to PageDown
or Cntl-PgDn, or whatever, to solve your second problem.

Thank you Dayo. That worked beautifully.
