I recently migrated to WinXp sp2 which also upgraded my IE to
v6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519IC.
However, since yesterday I am unable to load any pages on Explorer. It gives
me the standard "page cannot be displayed" errors. Based on the previous
posts, I have done the following:
1) Cleared all temp caches, including cookies, files, history etc.
2) Disabled 3rd party extensions on Advanced settings
3) Converted HOST files to HOST.OLD
4) Removed any critical objects using spware Ad-Aware SE
5) Logged on as a guest user
I have had Ad-aware SE since over a year and never had any issues with IE.
Do I need to remove this to fix the above issue? Am curious what else I can
do to get my browser up and running. Please advise ASAP
