page cannot be displayed

I have a dsl connection and iam getting page cannot be displayed.
I have done most of the troubleshooting steps.
OS:windowsxp
Tried regsrv32 dlls, Like softpub and urlmon.dll etc........

I have not downloaded any softwares
I have Norton installed and i have disabled it and i have checked it.
no spywares
i have not installed sp2
what should i do now, please help me

Thanks for the mail, Iam not able to go online it says page cannot be
deisplayed when i go to any web sites, I have even renamed the hosts file and
the issue still persist. Need help........

XPsp2 has a new netsh command which could substitute:

netsh winsock reset


You can also list what you have before doing that

netsh winsock show catalog


There is a related command

netsh interface ip reset resetlog.txt

(and associated show commands)


Do a Google Groups search for
netsh resetlog
to see what context others have used it and how they fared.
