Just installed wirless router and card. Worked fine first
day...Can still access messenger ann AIM, but cannot open
web pages....HELP

I too installed a wireless router card (Belkin brand) on my XP. I had
several issues...
* I could connect to the internet, but within a short period of time IE
would go to Not Responding and CPU would spike to 100% locking the notebook.
I resolved this by downloading a driver from Belkin.
* That resolved the CPU problem, but IE would still go to Not Responding.
I removed the network card and cabled the notebook back to the DSL modem.
My explorer problems continued.

This is what I'm currently experiencing....
Go to any site with flat text, I'm OK. Go to a site that invokes a child
window or a pop-up window (e.g. view closer image), IE goes to Not
Responding for a few minutes. Finally, the frame refreshes to the contents
of what would be in the pop-up window and the window resizes to what a
pop-up would be. If you click on the pop-up's "close" button, IE shuts
down. Hitting the back will take you back to the parent window, but does
not resize the window to normal.

I've uninstalled IE6 and re-installed. I've downloaded the SP 1. Nothing
helps.

(I did a bad thing and downloaded that "other" browser :-) for testing
purposes. Netscape will traverse the same sites without problem which leads
me to believe that this problem is specific to IE. Since the network card
was not used for the internet connection, I can rule that out too, but IE
worked before the router install.)

I would like to fix my IE. If someone could tell me how, I would appreciate
it!
