Page cannot be displayed

I am going crazy!!! I cannot access sites like
www.adobe.com yet I can access thousands of others. The
page cannot be displayed screen comes up for some but not
others yet I can access these sites from my work
computer. What is the problem? Is there a simple fix?
Please help!!!!! I need Adobe and cannot download it...

Check for a file named HOSTS with no extension (not Hosts.sam). It may be a
hidden file. Open it with Notepad and remove any line referencing the site.
Or, rename HOSTS to OLDHOSTS
