PS.. First I could not get this message to go through
when using IE.. had to sign onto AOL and then send.. !!!
Thought this extra info might help.... Hubby and I have
identical computers.. both run windows xp.. Recently I
brought mine home from our shop and networked it with our
other computer.. (netgear router).. and have
Bellsouth.net DSL... Usually connect through IE...
anyway.. when mine was at the shop I had no problems
working on auctionworks.. Now I can do everything as
before EXCEPT... upload pics and save new inventory items
(that I've spent lots of time working on)..(((((I get a
message like this= The page you are looking for is
currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing
technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your
browser settings.))))) Now my hubbys computer.. that is
networked with mine, can do everything, even save &
upload.. and the weird thing is, if I sign onto AW
through AOL.. I can do everything.. What's wrong with the
IE.. It worked great at the shop now it doesn't.. I'VE
JUST NOCTICED THAT I CANNOT ACCESS my credit card
accounts, bank records for online billpaying through IE
either.. And why would it work on hubby's and not mine..
We've gone through the internet connections and made sure
that we had all the same tabs clicked.... as you can tell
I'm not a great computer whiz.. so if I get an answer..
please keep it as simple as possible.. Thanks

jean,

there are factors to consider.

1. is your dsl provider at the office the same as that at home? if they are
different, a few settings might need to be adjusted.
2. as you have networked the computers, i assume that only one of them is
connected to the internet, and that, the other can access the net via the
other computer. if this is the case, you may also need a few changes in the
settings.

Have you tried deleting your temporary internet files? If
not to tools menu and then Internet Options. Under
Temporary Internet Files click the Delete button.

Lance

I dont have a solution but would like to know the answer.
I have a systems performing the exact same problem. No
secure sites in IE will open.

I have tried deleting all cookies, temp files etc.
Resetting the IE security features to lowest settings,
defaulted levels etc and still nothing. The problme occurs
on all profiles of te affected machine.

Any ideas out there?
