I just purchased a PC with Windows XP and it is hooked up
through a wireless adapter to our other computer. I am
connected to the wireless network and receive excellent
signal, but when I open Internet Explorer I keep
getting "page cannot be displayed". It worked fine for a
couple of days and I am not sure if I changed settings
somewhere that I shouldn't have.

Can you access other machines wirelessly just fine? If
so, try to clear your Temporary Internet Files and
Cookies and then try to open Internet Explorer again and
see what happens.

Exuse my ignorance, how do I access another machine
wirelessly? And how do I clear the Temp Internet Files
and cookies? Thanks again.

If you have a wireless network, you can easily access
other machine through My Network Places. On the desktop,
double click "My Network Places". If other machines have
shared folders, those folders should appear. You can also
click on the left "View workgroup computers". It is
possible that you don't have a Internet connection if
your network settings are incorrect.

To clear your Internet Temporary Files and Cookies, open
Internet Explorer (or Right-click on the desktop and
choose Properties) click Tools, then Internet Options.
Under Temporary Internet Files, you'll see three sets of
buttons 'Delete Cookies', 'Delete Files' and 'Settings'.
You'll click Delete Cookies and Delete Files. Click Apply
and Okay when you are done.
