"Page Cannot be Displayed" on Good, Working Websites

On my home PC, whenever I try and go out to a website I
know to be working properly (because I can access it
perfectly fine on other machines), i.e.
www.citizensbank.com, the browser basically sits there for
a few seconds and immediately goes to "this page cannot be
displayed". When I'm on another PC somewhere else, the
page is pulled up fine. I notice that when I get that
message on my browser, in the address bar it appears
something like this: "http:/// www.citizensbank.com". If
I remove the extra / and the %20 (or what looks something
like that), it just times out and the page isn't being
displayed. I've checked all my browser settings so both
are the same and I'm running the same browser with the
same service packs. Does anyone have any suggestions?
