I installed XP Service Pack 2, but uninstalled it because of all the problems
I was having. I ended up having to also reinstall XP.

Everything seems to be fairly back to normal, except that I'm still often
getting "Page cannot be displayed" when I click links. The first few links
seem to work, and then IE seems to tire out. The page that I'm trying to
access does appear as soon as I click Refresh.

The odd thing is that when I go to Help About, a reference to xpsp2 still
appears in the version name. Could there be some leftover stuff from SP2
that the uninstall didn't get, and if so, is there a way for me to
permanently get rid of it? Thanks.

I have been searching for help with this same issue. I wish I had something
to tell you, but have found nothing that references this in anything in ms
site. Just nice to know I'm not the only one with this problem. Thought you
might like to know you weren't either. Especially since you haven't had a
response. I haven't unistalled sp2 yet, but am getting tempted to see if
that fixes the problem. If you find any help, let me know. Post it here!
