Page Border

I am having problems with my Word 2002 page border. For some reason th
bottom line wont print out. I have messed around with the page setu
margins and the options button under borders but still cant seem to ge
the bottom line to print (on the print preview it doesnt show either)
Can someone help
 
It would be helpful to know a little more about your document. How clos
to the edge is your margin? Do you get an error when you try to prin
(telling you the margins are outside the printable area)?Sometimes thi
has to do with your particular printer drivers -- different printer
print different distances from the edge
 
I get an error saying that it is outside the printable area. My margin
are set to default. The document is just a basic memo, usually about
or two lines, not even close the the bottom of the page

i've seen this happen when the paper size in file / page set up does not
match the paper size set up in your default printer (control panel /
printers) - check to see that they're both the same and see if you still
have the same prob.

Usually, it is the printer that causes a bottom page
border not to print. If you are using an inkjet printer,
try making your bottom margin bigger, then it should
print O.K.
 
Also I had heard somewhere that there is an option in word where wor
will fix it automatically. Wasnt sure if this was true

I've had exactly the same problem with Word 2000, and this method works for
me:

In WORD



Select 'Format'



Select 'Borders & Shading'



Select 'Page Border' tab



Select 'setting' (eg box)



Select 'Options' button



Select 'measure from:-' TEXT rather than EDGE OF PAGE



You have many options within that window to set margins etc.





hope it works as well for you in '2002'

not that i know of ... you need to (manually) ensure that the paper size on
the default printer & under file / page setup in Word are the same ... are
they? is the problem solved?
