Hi,

I have attached a Packard Bell 15" TFT monitor to my PC
running under Windows XP. The image is not steady and
quite distorted. It works fine when attached to my other
PC which runs under Windows 2000 pro. I reattached it to
the 2000 pc with the intention of copying the driver over
to my XP PC but device manager says there is no driver for
the device (it sees it as a plug & play device).

Any advice would be most appreciated.

Thanks,

Stuart

Stuart,

Check that you're running at the correct resolution for the panel. If it's a
15" TFT, then it won't do higher than 1024x768. Some TFTs react to higher
resolutions in a strange way by displaying a distorted view of the signal.

More likely - check the refresh rate of the display, from Display
Properties -> Settings -> Advanced -> Monitor. Most TFTs will only handle up
to 70Hz refresh rate or so, and higher settings will result in either
distortion or no picture at all.

Hope this helps.
