I am trying to package a presentation to cd and when I insert a CD-RW I get a
message "the cd is not writable" It is a brand new CD-RW that has never been
recorded on. I am able to record audio files with WMP without a problem.
Does anyone have any suggestions

Do you have multiple CD/DVD recorders, by any chance? I think PPT goes for the
first one available, period.

No, Just the one. When working in Power Point, is does not recognize the
disc as being readable. I have even reinstalled the office suite.

The best bet then is to package to a folder then use your regular CD-burning
software to burn the contents of the folder (not the folder itself) to CD

tried that and the cd does not play automatically. I am going to go buy some
CD-R and not CD-RW and see if that makes a difference.

Thanks

You need to burn the contents of the folder (so they're "loose" on the CD),
but not the actual folder.

So you WERE able to burn a CD as I suggested?

Please follow the suggestions offered, report back (in detail) on the results.

If we can't do this step by step, I'm afraid I can't help.
