I installed the 2003 PPT upgrade and would like to
Package Presentations to CD. I have read the help info
and watched the tutorial. The problem is that when I
click on the file menu, there is no "Package to CD", Or
Package to anything. I am running Office 2000 Pro on
Windows XP. This is an upgrade from PPT XP to PPT 2003

Larry,
The first thing I would check is if you have full menus showing or if the
menu ends in that funky double arrow that means some of the menu options are
hidden. Read this PPT FAQ entry for more information:

During the installation did you elect to install the PowerPoint viewer?
It's required for this feature to work.

I went to Add Remove Programs and checked the installed
features and Package to CD was not installed. I don't
know why. I installed it from there and everything is
working great... so far. Thanks everybody!

My guess? You took the defaults when you did the install the first time. The
installer didn't know what you wanted on the system, so it went by what was
there before. It didn't know you needed Package to CD, so it didn't add it.

A couple of others have hit this, but we have never quite narrowed down what
makes the installer forget to add Package to CD.
