Package cd says HD full

When I try to utilize Package for CD on PowerPoint 2003, it fails and I get a message "the files cannot be copied to the temporary folder because the hard disk may be full. Please free up space and try again". My hard drive has 30 GB free space, so it is not full! I have tried this option on two different computers and received the same message.
Please advise.

I emptied the temp folder. It won't even look at my cd writer or the HD, just says it's full.

Hello,

It could be that one of your systems environment variables is pointing to a
location which does not exist.

A) From the Start menu, Right-Click on "My Computer" and choose
"Properties" from the contextual menu
B) In the "System Properties" dialog click on "Environment Variables"
button in the "Advanced" tab

1) Does the "TMP" variable point to a valid location (select entry and
click on "Edit" button to see full path defined for TMP)
2) Does the "TEMP" variable point to a valid location (select entry and
click on "Edit" button to see full path defined for TEMP)

Otherwise, there might be something about the contents of the presentation
which is triggering this message incorrectly.

3) Does the "Copy to Folder" button in the Package for CD dialog report the
same error message?
4) If you do a Save As... (not a Save) of the presentation to a new
location, Close, Open and try to Package to CD again, do you still get the
error message?
5) What kinds of linked and embedded (OLE, movies, sounds, etc.) do you
have in your presentation?

Thanks,

Thank you, John. The temp file path is valid. I tried saving it to a different location and it gave me the same message on both file and cd buttons. But, You are right about it being the presentation. I tried it with a different, not so complicated, one and it worked fine.

I have .wmv, .mid, .wav, .avi, .gif and .jpg files in it. I also have a form to fill in. Could the Form be the problem? It does say that I have macros/files that will not work with the viewer in the first message before it tells me that all my disks are full.

Anyway, thank you for you help. At least I know it's my presentation and not the program.

Thanks again,

Hello,

I don't know why a form might make the Package for CD feature behave this
way, but you might try the following:

1) Package the presentation without the option of including the PowerPoint
Viewer
or
2) Package a COPY of the presentation which does not contain the form.
