Hi - I just installed Office 2003, and I cannot find how
to package a PowerPoint presentation to run on a PC that
does not have PowerPoint installed.

The help instructions talk about a Pack and Go command
under File, but it does not exist in the PowerPoint 2003
program. At least, I can't find it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Sonia - many thanks for the quick reply and good
link. However, I do not have that option (Package for
CD) under the FILE command. I just installed Office 2003
(Professional Edition upgrade), and I see the Permission
option followed by Web Page Preview, but no Package for
CD.

How come I'm missing that option, and how do I get it?
boo hoo

Do you see a double arrow at the bottom of your menus? Hover over it a
little while with your mouse and the rest of the menu will show up. If you
want the menus to always show up, go to Tools --> Customize --> Options tab
and click on "Always show full menus".

Hi Kathryn - thank you, yes, I could see the full menu by
hovering over the arrows, and I still don't have the
Package CD option. I did a regular (typical) install
when I upgraded to Office 2003.

Am mystified as to why I don't have that option. But am
very thankful for the help and suggestions.

Stick your CD in the drive and let setup.exe run. When the menu comes up,
select Add or Remove Features and click on Next. On the next dialog check
the box next to "Choose advanced customization of applications" and click on
"Next". Click on the + next to Microsoft Offic PowerPoint. Make sure that
Package for CD and PowerPoint Viewer are set to "Run from My Computer".
Click on Update and follow the dialogs to completion.
