Using Office 2000, I cant use pack and go - powerpoint
requests installation of feature from disc.Have tried
searching the disc for the required file "data1.msi" but
its not there. On exit from intsall wizard it
says "packandgo.dll" not found. have tried re-installing
office 2000 and also the microsoft web for downloads
without success. Am using windowsXP professional.Any
ideas?

The Data1.msi package is the same file used by Office to
install Powerpoint. It is located on the CD... It has to
be there, especially if you have re-installed the program.

An easy way to solve the problem is go to the Add-Remove
programs dialog in your computer. Make sure that you have
the Office CD in the drive, and select the "Change" button
(in windows 2000 or XP) or the "Remove" button (in Windows
9x). This will bring up the installation wizard for
Office. Simply tell it you wish to re-install, and select
a custom installation. It will give you the list of
programs. Tell it to install all of them. The next screen
should show you the list of programs and all of their
features. Select each program and tell it to "run all from
disk"

Hope this helps. If it doesn't, drop me a line and I'll
try and walk you through it.

Nathan
