PAB vs. Contacts

Is there any reason why one would want to use a PAB rather than the Contacts folder in Outlook 2000? It is my understanding that the PAB is a predecessor to the Contacts folder. That being the case how would one benefit by continuing to use a PAB?

No reason. The PAB was replaced by the Outlook Address Book years ago.

So tell me this Russ, then in Outlook 2003 when I start a new message
and press the "To..." button, or type a name in the To field, it only
searches the address book?

I would like to setup Outlook 2003 to use the Contacts folder for
everything. Is this possible? Can Word do a mailmerge from the
Outlook Contacts?

In fact, Outlook only uses the Contacts Folder, not an address book. You'll
have to elaborate on why you think otherwise.
