My dad's looking for a new laptop, one prefarably around £400. To be used for Buisness purposes and generally simple tasks (and the occasional bout of solitare )

You're not going to get a great specced machine for £400.00 but if he just wants to use office stuff and surf the web, this looks like a good deal: Toshiba £375.00.
I don't know a great deal about laptops but from the feedback I've read on this forum I'd avoid Acer, go for a Toshiba and consider Novatech.

Toshiba won it for me on the price of the laptop & specs i wanted.
Novatech just did not have what i wanted to pay for a laptop.
