The trial is going on.

We stucked at the VIA PT880 with PXI-Express, AGP and PCI. The specs.
telling that FSB1066 (QP) is working.
Actually it won´t work. Sometimes it post and stucks then with a CMOS
Checksum Error.
It looks like, the EE3.73 1066QP (266MHz!) HT EMT64 can only run in
PCI-Xpress Boards!?

For the P5VD1-X, I like how:

1) The downloadable manual is only available in Chinese.
2) The manual says FSB1066 is supported.
3) The Asus CPUsupport web page only lists FSB800 processors!

You must be running out of motherboards to try...

OK. Here is one to experiment with: DFI 875P-T

http://www.hothardware.com/viewarticle.cfm?articleid=619

The reason I think this one will be a winner, is because
the P4C800-E can overclock to FSB1200. The 875P Northbridge
is what makes that possible. The 865PE runs out of
steam around 230*4 or so, when the AGP artifacts
show up. The 875P on the other hand, doesn't have
that problem.

The trick will be whether the DFI BIOS supports the
3.73GHz processor or not.

Have fun,
Paul
