Hello,
Can anyone help me with this anoying problem. I have an Asus P5GDC-V
motherboard with an Intel Pentrium 4 model 630 CPU. The power supply is an
Antec True Blue 480.
It has 1 gig of Geil DDR 400 RAM. The video card is an MSI TD128E. Hard
drive is a Maxtor DiamondMax 10 80 gig set up on SATA 1. I used a 20 to 24
pin converter on the Power supply for the motherboard. After shutting down
the system it sometimes, not always starts back up after about 10 seconds or
less. It is annoying to say the least. I am running Windows XP pro. I have
tried different settings in the Power section of the BIOS to no avail.
Currently I using BIOS 1008-beta 4. It does the same thing no matter what
BIOS revision I use. Even with 1007 final. Does anyone else have this
problem? Can anyone give me some clues as to why this motherboard is doing
this. I am using a Thermaltake Silent 775 CPU cooler. Thanks in advance for
any help.
