P5AD2-E turns on by itself

My computer turned on by itself the other day and really freaked me
out. Appearently, there is some "Wake on lan" option in the advanced
properties of the GBe lan that allows you to turn your computer on by
some "Magic Packet" thing over the LAN. I disabled the thing but am
wondering if that will have a negative impact on my machine. Any
ideas?

I disable that and anything similar. Disabling that is only a problem
if you want that feature to work. Otherwise, you don't need it.
