Hello there.. I have a brand new computer with a P5AD2-E Premium
motherboard with 1 SATA hard drive and 1 IDE hard drive and Sound
Blaster Audigy sound card. I have been finding that lately if the
computer is turned off for a while and then turned on that a message
comes up saying 'New CPU Found!' and tells me to press F1 or F2 to
either go into the BIOS or run the BIOS default values. After that it
goes into the XP OS and everything is fine.
Sometimes after pressing either key, I noticed that it sometimes
changes my boot order and replaces the SATA drive that has the OS on it
with the IDE drive which is just a data drive. It also sometimes
enables my onboard sound which I have turned off since I have the sound
blaster audigy...
Will any BIOS updates fix this problem?
thanx
