Hi all,
I have an Intel P4 3.06Ghz Hyperthreading Processor running P4S8X-X with
Windows XP Home
(All latest Service packs installed).
Looking at my system:
Windows Device Manager shows ACPI Multiprocessor PC
2 Processors are listed under Processors
So Far So Good. (Apparently XP Home *does* support Hyperthreading)
So why do Benchmarking and Diagnostic Programmes (SiSoft Sandra, Aquamark)
tell me that Hyperthreading present, but disabled?
Additionally, I read that if HT is working properly, there should be two
processor graphs in Windows Task Manager? I only have one.
Any ideas on how to Enable Hyperthreading.
(And yes, it is enabled in the Bios
TIA
