Hi.

I have a problem with Asus P4S333 and on-board audio card.
When i start a DVD or Divx in AC3 and I want to hear it oin 5.1 system there
is a problem with (i think) central/subwoofer channel. Central channel
doen't work i hear only somethink like underwater in subwoofer. When I
change mode to stereo - then all is OK. But after changing to 5.1 mode I
dont hear a center.

System
P4S333
P4 1.6
256 DDR333
Pioneer DVD105S
Asus V3800U
Creative 5100 speaker system

Greetings
Adam.

Could it be that the role of center and sub are swapped ? On a
A7N8X (Nforce2) Nvidia provides the nvswap program, to reverse the
connections. I guess sometimes powered speaker systems don't match
how these two are wired on the center/sub connector.

You could use the line_in on another computer, to analyse the output
of your P4S333 based computer. Chances are, you'll see the sub channel
roll off at some very low frequency.
